Don't rest on your laurels

Introduction

It's nice to welcome you again, ladies and gentlemen!
I hope you had a good time and found something to do on our ship.

I would also like to congratulate everyone who took part in one of our challenges, the Sei Sunken Treasure. You have shown that you are able to work as a team towards our mutual goal, you have been generous and kind to those who needed help; you went above and beyond our expectations, and we are thankful for your hard work! You can now open your prizes and see what's in them for you! And also congratulations to those of you who listened carefully at our last meeting and have already achieved the ranks of Crew, Officer and maybe even Captain! But let's not get sidetracked and get back to our main task! Let's begin!

Summing up the results of the last meeting

As you know, we are all here to become true Sei Ambassadors, not just to learn how to do our jobs well but to do them effectively and correctly so that we can achieve not only a promotion but also maximum efficiency. At our last meeting, we learned about what our project is and how we can get involved and promote it. We also learned about the ranking system and how to get promoted to Crew, Officer and Captain. Our last meeting was very nice and useful, and we have agreed to a new meeting at which we will understand all the other ranks and the conditions for their achievement, namely Mayor and Admiral!

Let's get to work

I would also like to let you know that we have not been idle, we have been working hard, and we are pleased to inform you that we have added a new position, namely, Colonel! The best of you will be selected for these new positions, and you will have the opportunity to prove yourself and prove that you are worthy of becoming an Admiral. Remember that this is the highest rank you can achieve. First things first, we'll start with the Mayor position

MAJOR

If you are already thinking about becoming a Major, you have been a good student and have achieved the rank of Captain.


You have shown that you are worthy of this rank; you have trained, learned more and more, helped other members of the program, and you have the basic knowledge to help others individually. Do you see where I am going with this?

Yes, I am talking about mentoring, it is mentoring that will increase your chances of promotion and show that you are not only a good student but can be a good teacher as well. Every day, more and more people are joining us, and all of them need help and a good mentor, which you should be for them. Help the newbies, offer to have them as your mentees, and become their mentors. I should point out that you can only mentor a person if they have not reached level 7, and also that your mentee must tell us about your work with them, he should give your name when filling out the form for our program, so you don't have to look for it again, I'll leave it here. This is very important, or we won't be able to find out about your work with him, because we value people's freedom and confidentiality, and although those guys in the black suits are suspiciously following you and watching your every move, it's just a coincidence, and they are nothing more than tourists, don't pay any attention to them). I recommend that you prepare a text in advance; it can be a step-by-step guide to our program, and after talking to potential students, send it to them with an offer to become their mentor. It is the most effective strategy I know, but do not be persistent and do not recruit everyone, as you know, we value quality, not quantity!

The second and main step towards achieving the rank of Major will be to create five works. I would like to warn you that these are not the works that you have already sent in your application to become a Captain, this time we will demand the highest quality work from you, and you will not have the right to make a mistake. Just as with the Captain, you must submit your work for the entire month and a minimum of three works by the 20th. You also need to be energetic and outgoing, help others, be friendly and helpful, and remember that you want to be a Major and all juniors will look up to you, so you should set a really good example for them. And also, let's remember the basic rules of how our job should be designed:

  1. If you have created a video, article or other formats of work not related to Twitter, you copy the link to your work and make out a tweet and paste a link to your work, and do not forget to mark the account project as well as hashtags
  2. Your tweet must be marked with our project account @SeiNetwork and hashtags #seilors, #sei, #seinami, #seiyes, #seilorgang, #IBCseilors, #cosmos, #DeFi, #blockchain.
  3. Work must be of high quality, our project must be mentioned, and links to our social networks and information resources must be indicated
  4. Plagiarism in any form is forbidden, all works must be individual. Be as creative and verbose as possible in the right way.
  5. Publish your works in the #community-content and #sei-daily sections.
  6. I also recommend adding art to your work if it's an article or a guide and adding it to the tweet itself with a link to your work

So it's the end of the month, and you've completed your tasks, complied with the conditions, and are ready to apply for the position of Major.
Now you have to go to the #captain-announcemets section, where you will be greeted by a nice lady who will ask you to fill in an application form. The procedure is the same as for applying for the position of Captain; you will give your details and references to your five best works during the month. After that, your applications will be reviewed by other Majors, and if they vote for you, you will be promoted. But remember that if your entries do not meet the requirements, moderators may cancel the vote. If this happens, you can always contact them and ask the reason, and they will tell you where the mistakes were made. Also remember that power is a big responsibility, and when promoted to Major you will have to publish five or more works a month and be an active member of the project on our ship, otherwise, you will lose your rank and be demoted to Captain. But I wish you don't have to face such situations!

COLONEL

While your applications are being reviewed by our majors, I would like to introduce you to our new rank, Colonel.
It will be a position for which very few can apply and will require leadership, time management,
the ability to delegate responsibilities and more. The main task of the Colonels will be to tell the world about what we do here and get our project into more and more projects and people's minds. Teams of six Colonels will be created with individual responsibilities and work streams. Each team will be assigned to a national team, but if you are good at your job and recruitment for your national team is closed, you may be assigned to another team, and we will not require you to speak the language. As you may have realized by now, recruitment will be tough, and only the best of the best will be selected for the colonel role. They will also be obliged to maintain the quality of their work, as every member will be evaluated by the main team, and if you are cut, you can only apply again after two races.

The selection process will be changed; each candidate will be personally selected by our project team, and the selection will be carried out every three months with the condition that the candidate must have been a Major for at least three consecutive months.
This role was created by us just recently, so we'll post information about it gradually, in the meantime I suggest you read our announcement about this role, give it a Like, make a repost and we'll move on to the next, secret, I would say mystical but still real role, yes, I'm talking about the Admiral

ADMIRAL

Why mysterious and mystical? The answer is very simple, in the many months of our work, no one has yet managed to earn the title of Admiral.
And you may ask why again, well, I'll tell you why. The title of Admiral suggests that you have reached all possible heights, that you have shown real faith in and dedication to our project, that you are an ideological and very disciplined person, that you have a goal, a plan and you follow them, that you have leadership skills, that you are creative and hardworking, and that we are ready to employ you in our team. Admiral is a fully fledged member of our Sei project team with decent pay and great responsibilities. It is likely and logical that the management will choose the Admirals from the teams of Colonels with close attention to their performance, achievements, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). If you think you are a worthy candidate for the job, well, I do, but I want to see your results in action. So get to work!

CONCLUSION

This concludes our little journey. But we will definitely see you again, as our team is working hard to ensure that we always have something to talk about with you. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has come to this point, I hope I have managed to keep you interested, inform you, and simply occupy your time with interest! I wish all of you success in achieving your goals and hope you will not experience burnout, which unfortunately is very common, so set yourself a few small goals that will help you get to the bigger goal and follow your plan!
